The Will-o-the-Wisp

From: $13.99

I grew up in the Cascade foothills, in a marshy area surrounding a lake.  Sometimes during the summer, strange lights and orbs would seem to float above the water.  I never quite figured out for sure what they were.  Gas, glowing bugs, something else?  Even knowing that they were a natural phenomenon, they were a little creepy.  This print gets its name from the myth of the Will-o-the-Wisp, those strange orbs of light seen in swamps and marshy forests.  People would often be led astray following the lights and would disappear, never to be seen again.  They probably all fell into bogs, but the story goes the lights are faeries who would transport them to the faerie realm.  Prints are signed, archival, and open edition.
